DUI/DWAI Drinking and Driving

Being arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) is frightening, overwhelming, and stressful. Integrity Health and Wellness understands and respects the different levels of process that goes on. We are well informed in regard to the laws and what comes ahead. We maintain positive relationships with attorneys, probation departments, and courts throughout Colorado. Colorado Revised Statute (CRS 42-2-132) requires completion of a OBH licensed Level I or Level II alcohol education and therapy program.

You will deal with over 12 different agencies before this offense is completed legally. Integrity freely offers information to help process the next several steps of the DUI consequences and maneuvers through the motor vehicle department, interlock, insurance, probation, and court requirements.

Getting Started

We highly recommend starting court order level 2 education before your sentencing. This gives you a head start. We will give you significant information, answer questions, and reduce your stress while navigating the court process. When you call, we will set you up for an intake. The intake is important and the best way to get to know you and for you to know us.  We can accommodate both virtual and in person intakes or group settings. Your intake consists of a personal interview, explanation of the court process, and answering any questions you may have. You will sign paperwork that satisfies the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and Integrity expectations and policies. This will take approximately an hour and then you will be enrolled in services. You can begin classes the same day. Please fill in your information on contact us and we will get right back to you. You can also call the main office at 303-298-1655 or TEXT Amy Chandler directly at 303-901-1979.

Integrity is not just a court ordered agency. Many of our clients have stayed in groups long after they have been discharged. This is unique to our agency. Both virtual and in person groups often connect personally with each other and support each other outside of the agency. Private sessions are always available as are couples counseling and family sessions. We offer workshops and intensive sessions for those who are interested. We work with addiction but are not limited to the addiction issues people face.

DUI / DWAI Required Classes

Level 2 Education is a 12 week program with 24 hours of credit.  We have in person and telehealth available Monday through Saturday. You can attend only one session a week. You will be given the Colorado State required workbook.

Probation departments  conduct their own assessment (PSI) and determine the conditions of your treatment. You will likely be placed in one of the following tracks. See the chart below. This is the starting point of your track therapy. You can be ordered to a higher track depending on your assessment score with probation. This agency will support what your supervision requires.

TRACK A: (21 Sessions): First offense + BAC under .15
TRACK B: (26 Sessions): First offense + BAC over .15 (or refusal)
TRACK C: (34 Sessions): 2nd or 3rd offense + BAC under .15
TRACK D: (43 Sessions): 2nd or 3rd offense + BAC over .15 (or refusal)

LEVEL 2 EDUCATION AND THERAPY CANNOT BE DONE CONSECUTIVELY PER COLORADO STATE LAW.

Colorado DUI Penalties

The penalties for DUI in Colorado include both the sentence dispensed by the judge in your criminal court case and the Colorado Department of Motor vehicles suspending your privilege to drive. These two different outcomes should be handled as separate issues, with each requiring different legal
